Class Requirements

Overview

This is a 650-hour massage therapist certification program that is broken down into two sections:

Section 1 is lectures, book study, review, testing and hands. This section total time commitment is 450 hours and can be completely within a minimum of sixteen weeks. Section 1 will meet at least 3 times per week.

Section 2 is a hands-on clinical training working with both the instructor and client for a total of 200 hours. Section Two can be completed at the students discretion over a period of three months.

Students must complete the curriculum in good standing.
A multiple choice, true and false, short essay final exam, with a final massage done on an instructor is required.
If you have met all school requirements, you will receive your massage therapist certification.

Milady’s Therapeutic Massage Workbook completed.
Milady’s Therapeutic Massage Text Book questions completed.
Log all hours spent reading and studying Milady’s book & Workbook (approximately 10 hours per week).
Log all hours of at home massage practice.
Thirty hours of clinical internship must be completed at the location of your choice.
Payments need to be up to date in order to attend class.
Balance of account needs to be paid in full before taking the final exam.
Supplies must be brought to class. Lotion, sheets, towels, books etc.
Uniform (scrubs) must be worn for hands on days.
Maintain a minimum of 75% GPA on all coursework and exams; this includes the hands on training.
Students will need to obtain liability Insurance before clinicals.
The school will supply a table for you to work on in class.
